Thank you for choosing Cyclebees. By booking a lesson, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which are designed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Lessons
- Lessons are available for children aged 4+, teen and adults of any age.
- Lessons are tailored to each rider's age, ability and confidence level.
- Riders should arrive on time to maximise lesson time. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session.
Equipment
Riders should bring:
- A roadworthy bicycle (pedal/e-bike) in good working order (inflated tyres, front and back working brake, appropriate tool to adjust seat height)
- A suitable cycle helmet.
- Suitable comfortable clothing and footwear (trainers).
If you require the use of a helmet, or need advice on equipment then please let us know when booking.
Health & Medical Information
Please inform Cyclebees before your lesson of any:
- Medical conditions
- Allergies
- Disabilities
- Additional support needs
- Injuries that may affect participation
This information helps ensure lessons are delivered safely.
Weather
Lessons take place outdoors in most weather conditions. However, if severe weather makes cycling unsafe, lessons may be rearranged at no additional cost.
Liability
Cycling is an outdoor activity that carries an element of risk. Cyclebees takes every reasonable step to provide a safe learning environment and manage risk however participants or parents/caregivers provide approval and take part at their own risk.
Parents and adult participants are responsible for ensuring bicycles and equipment are suitable for use. The instructor will carry out a complimentary bike check at the first lesson. Should the bicycle be unsuitable or unsafe for the rider then the session will cease and no refund given.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
Booking
Lessons are confirmed once payment has been received (unless otherwise agreed).
Cancellation by the Customer
- More than 48 hours notice – full refund or free transfer to another date.
- 24–48 hours notice – lesson may be transferred once without charge.
- Less than 24 hours notice or failure to attend – lesson fee is non-refundable.
*Exceptional circumstances may be considered at Cyclebee's discretion.
Cancellation by Cyclebees
If a lesson needs to be cancelled due to:
- severe weather, instructor illness, unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered: an alternative date, or a full refund.
Late Arrival
Please arrive a few minutes before your lesson.
If you arrive late, the lesson will still finish at the scheduled time to avoid delays for other customers.
Safeguarding & Child Protection
At Cyclebees, the safety and wellbeing of every child and young person is our highest priority.
Commitment
We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where every participant is treated with dignity, respect and kindness.
Supervision
Children remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian until handed over to the instructor at the beginning of the lesson and immediately after the lesson has finished.
Parents or guardians (or a designated supervisor, such as a teacher if on school premises, for which a consent form must be signed in advance) must remain present throughout the lesson (for under 16 year olds). Young persons (16-17 years) may attend lessons without a parent or guardian present, however the instructor must receive written consent in advance.
Respect
All participants will be treated fairly regardless of:
- age, gender, disability, ethnicity, religion, ability, background.
Photography
Photos or videos will only be taken with prior written consent from a parent, guardian or adult participant. These images may be used for promotional purposes only where permission has been given.
Safeguarding Concerns
Any concerns regarding the welfare of a child or vulnerable adult will be managed appropriately and, where necessary, referred to the relevant safeguarding authorities in line with current safeguarding guidance.
Privacy Policy
At Cyclebees your privacy is important. We only collect the information needed to respond to enquiries, manage bookings and provide cycle lessons.

- Name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Emergency contact details (where appropriate)
- Relevant medical or additional support information required for safe participation
How we use your information
Your information will only be used for:
- Manage bookings
- Contact you about your lesson
- Ensure your lesson are delivered safely
- Meet legal or insurance requirements where applicable
We will never sell or share your personal information with third parties unless required by law. Your information is stored securely and only kept for as long as necessary.

Photo & Video Consent
At Cyclebees, we love celebrating our riders’ achievements. Photographs or short videos may occasionally be taken during lessons for use on our website, social media or promotional materials.
We will only use images where permission has been given. We appreciate things may change over time, therefore any images older than 12 months we will contact you to re-affirm consent before using.
We will only use images where permission has been given. Parents, guardians, care givers and adult participants can choose to GIVE or DECLINE consent.
Choosing not to consent will never affect participation in lessons.
